Sask. RCMP say longtime teacher charged with sexual assault

Dexter Bacsu, 64, is charged with one count of sexual assault related to a sports trip. The school division says he is no longer an employee.

Saskatchewan RCMP say a longtime teacher and volunteer in Maple Creek is accused of sexually assaulting a boy in the early 2000s.

Mounties say the suspect was a teacher and continued to work as a substitute teacher until recently.

The school division says he is no longer an employee.

RCMP say he also volunteers with local youth sports and music programs, including as a coach and trip chaperone.
