Police say the collision happened Dec. 10 just before 8 pm along Highway 10, east of Fort Qu’Appelle.

An 83-year-old Yorkton woman and a 53-year-old Lestock man lost their lives in a motor vehicle collision east of Fort Qu’Appelle.

Police say the collision happened Dec. 10 just before 8 pm along Highway 10, east of Fort Qu’Appelle.

The Yorkton woman was the sole occupant of the vehicle, while the car driven by the Lestock man did have three passengers.

“One was transported to hospital with injuries described as serious,” said RCMP in a media release. “The remaining two were taken to hospital with injuries described as non life-threatening.”

The highway was closed as emergency crews attended, and has since re-opened. Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP and a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist continue to investigate the collision.
