Two charged after mini-crime spree on Monday
RCMP received several calls in relation to property crimes in the Lockport, St. Andrews and West St. Paul areas and all the reports involved the same two suspects.
Two people have been charged with several criminal offences after police say they went on a crime spree on Monday in three southern Manitoba communities.
Around 8 a.m. on Monday, RCMP received several calls in relation to property crimes in the Lockport, St. Andrews and West St. Paul areas and all the reports involved the same two suspects.
One of the reports was of an attempted break-in at a business in Lockport, but the suspects were scared off by people in the area.
A second report was of a damaged stolen truck located on River Road in the RM of West St. Paul, and police say the truck and a side-by-side ATV had been stolen from a nearby home.
According to police, the suspects had backed the truck through the garage door in order to gain entry to the garage.

A third report was of a theft in the area, as police say a male suspect driving the stolen side-by-side stopped at a property and began going through a vehicle. The suspect was confronted by the 65-year-old homeowner who sustained minor injuries when the suspect struck him with the ATV while fleeing, police said.
RCMP officers located an abandoned side-by-side on Highway 9, and a report came in about two suspicious people nearby.
RCMP say they arrested both suspects without incident, and a 30-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man face several charges including breaking and entering, possession of property obtained by crime, theft and failure to comply.
